La Simplicité

Sometimes the tastiest desserts are the one that take very little time and effort.
A couple of fruits left in the fridge: apple, mango, rhubarb… make a delicious compote

Cook them slowly until their are soft and deliciously mellow in a very small amount of boiling water and a tiny bit of butter. Then let it rest.

Personally, like most things actually, I like it better the next day when it had time to rest.

Serve it warm (nice contrast with icecream) or cold (with a bit of creme fraiche (as in the picture), season it with a bit of lemon.
An finally top it with a petit-beurre.
In the end everything melts together the cookie crumbs, the cream and the compote… hummmmm
